Hamilton Door & Trim Painting

A faded, chipped, or chalky front door undercuts an otherwise tidy home in a way nothing else quite does, since it's the one surface every visitor and passer-by sees up close. Exterior doors take direct sun for hours a day in Hamilton summers and constant damp through winter, which is a tough combination for paint to survive. We sand back old, failing paint, treat any timber that's swollen or split at the base, and apply a coating designed for high-UV exposure so the colour holds and the surface doesn't chalk within a year or two.

Hallway doors, bedroom doors, and anything near a laundry or kitchen tend to show handprints, scuffs, and chips faster than any wall in the house. Kids' rooms and high-traffic hallways are usually the worst affected. We repaint doors on both faces along with the frame and architrave around them, so the whole opening looks consistent rather than just the door leaf getting attention while the surrounding trim stays tired and yellowed.
